Seventy-five Couples Atteend Leap Year Ball – Young Bloods Take in the Town
Happy New Year; turn over a New leaf

  • Monday evening, a dance will be given at William’s hall which is safe to say, will prove a success.
  • Joseph Smith, who was injured by being run over by an electric car in Ogden a short time ago, we are pleased to say, is on the improve.
  • Harry Taylor’s Dramatic company played to a fair sized audience at the music hall, on evening,” The Lost Ship” being the piece played.
  • A number of our young bloods took the town in, in great shape last night, serenading all within their reach until an early hour this morning.
  • It has been rather a quiet week here for holiday time. Dancing being the principal amusement. The event of the week in this line was the leep year ball on Wednesday evening last, which was a success both socially and financially. There being about seventy-five couples present. Refreshments were to be had bad on th stage and the ladies had the opportunity of looking after the comforts of their young men in this respect, and proved themselves capable of so doing.               DENNIS.
