KAYSVILLE KINKS.

  • Yesterday was observed as a among the saints.  Services were general day of fasting and prayer held in the meeting house, which lasted two hours and a half; the house being filled to overflowing.  All seemed to rejoice and a good spirit prevailed.
  • The event of the season was the ball, concert and oyster supper given at William’s hall on the 21.  The music was furnished by Christensen Brothers of Ogden and was all that could be desired.  About 10 o’clock the following programme was rendered:
    Overture, Christensen Brother’s Orchestra.
Quartette, Mrs. Sarah Taylor, Miss Olive Cottrell, Mr. W. W. Sheffield and Mr. W. Cottrell.
    Piano solo, Professor Carl Zehnfer.
    Cornet solo. Mr. P. Christensen.
    Song, Mr. W. W. Sheffield.
Song, Mr. Taylor and Mrs. Burton.
    Bass solo Mr. Walter Cottrell.
    Shay Quartte, Christensen Bros. Orchestra.
At the close of the programme, oysters were served in a room under the dancing hall in elegant style.  There were about forty couple present and dancing continued until nearly 2 o’clock
  • Every one is making arrangements and looking forward to be present at the dedication.
  • The little fourteen month old daughter of Levi Payne died on Wednesday last it is just one year yesterday since the child’s mother died, and since that time there have been eight of Mr. Payne’s family and relatives pass to the great beyond.             DENNIS.
